Attention Exhibitors: New Vendor Fair
The theme for this year is "Change is a Journey". One change we've made to our upcoming conference will give you an opportunity to spend quality time with the people who make the business decisions. It will also offer greater opportunities for our members to attend the annual ASBO International Conferences.
The Spring Conference for Oklahoma ASBO is scheduled for April 16-18, 2008, at the Meridian Convention Center, 737 S. Meridian Avenue in Oklahoma City, Ok. We are inviting you to partner with us at that conference. We want to offer our members the most current cutting edge topics affecting their jobs and we need your participation to deliver that message.
At past meetings we have had a “Vendor Party” setup on Thursday of our conference. It has always a popular and well attended event. We are moving that Vendor Party into an exhibit area and invite you to showcase your products and services while the event is taking place. We plan to have the same food and beverage from 4:00 – 7:00 pm and give you the opportunity to visit with our 250-300 attendees. We are calling this a “Vendor Fair” (Setup may begin at 2:00 pm.)
This is a major change for our long time supporters, but I hope that you will participate. The Board of Directors has made this change to offer greater opportunities for our members to attend the annual ASBO International Conferences. The amounts above the cost of this program will be used to fund Associate Member Scholarships which will be awarded to Oklahoma ASBO members to attend the International meetings. Of course, exhibitors will be recognized in our program.
Along with your exhibit, we want to encourage you to have a sign-up at your booth for a door prize to be awarded by drawing beginning at 6:30 pm. This will encourage all to come visit your booth and stay at the event until the end to see who the winners are.
If you choose not to exhibit, you can still be listed in our program as a host of the “Vendor Party”, same as always, by your remittance of $70. And for your consideration, we always need end-of-the-meeting door prizes.
While this is a new direction in the way we partner with our Associate members, I hope that you can see the benefits to you and to our membership. Give it a try, won’t you?
