Leroy Holloway Professional Development Grant
The OkASBO Board of Directors is again offering the ”Leroy Holloway” Professional Development Grant. This grant is for an OkASBO member who has never attended the ASBO International Conference. The grant pays for room, transportation, registration and dues (if needed) for the recipient to use to attend the International conference. Won’t you please apply?
An application for this grant is included on this website and the deadline for the application receipt is May 1st. The recipient will be chosen by the OkASBO Professional Development Committee and recommended to the Board of Directors for final approval.

OCSBM Scholarships
This program is a new venture for Oklahoma ASBO. We believe so strongly in the programs that are offered by the Oklahoma Center for School Business Management, directed by Dr. Linda Abner, that we are committing funds for a scholarship program to benefit our members and the OCSBM. Beginning July 1, 2003, Oklahoma ASBO is dedicating $5000.00 per year to this scholarship fund.
“Any School district that maintains membership or become paid members of OkASBO may apply to OkASBO for a scholarship to attend any seminar offered by the Oklahoma Center for School Business Management. Each scholarship shall be limited to a maximum of one full seminar registration per member district per year. The scholarship program becomes effective immediately and continues until rescinded by action of the Board of Directors. The Membership and Professional Development Committee will be asked to develop the guidelines for promotion and administration of the scholarship program.“
If you received a scholarship for the current year, you will not be eligible for another one next year; however, another Oklahoma ASBO member from your school will be eligible. -adopted by the Board, July 6, 2006
There you have it. If you want to enroll in any OCSBM program and your district is limited on funds for training or in-service activities, here is an avenue for you to pursue. This information will also be included with your OkASBO membership renewal request about mid-June. If for some reason you do not receive your renewal request, or do not receive information detailing application procedures, please contact the Oklahoma ASBO office.

Associate Member ASBO International Scholarships
The OkASBO Board of Directors wants to offer one or more scholarships to its members to attend the ASBO International Annual Conference. This grant will be given to an OkASBO member who is working to improve their skills and working to improve and promote Oklahoma ASBO. The scholarship will pay for room, food, transportation, registration and dues (if needed) for the recipient to attend the International conference. The cost of the award will vary by year, depending on the location of the International conference.
This scholarship will be funded by our Associate Members who are Exhibitors at our conferences. Any profits available after paying the cost of the Vendor Fair will be used to fund these scholarships.
