The Board of Directors for the Oklahoma Association of School Business Officials (OKASBO) has announced the selection of Sara Rawls as its new Executive Director.
Kevin Hime, OKASBO President states, “We are proud to announce Sara as the new Executive Director of OKASBO. Sara is a long time active member of the organization. She has served on committees, has been a committee chair, and most recently, has served on the board of directors. Sara is also active International.”
“With the growing number of IRS audits, budget cuts, and the increased scrutiny on the expenditure of funds, Sara will continue working with members to ensure that OKASBO serves the needs of our member districts,” said Hime.
Ms. Rawls comes to us having served as an administrator and the financial leader in a rural school district. She understands firsthand the challenges facing school leaders. Sara holds a Certified School Business Administrator certification. She attended East Central University where she received her Master’s in Human Resource Administration.
“I am excited for the opportunity to serve, alongside the Board, in making OKASBO the premier professional development organization for school business leaders in the state.
